My wife and I love to travel, and we especially love cruising—we’re proud Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor Diamond Plus Members. Cruising has always been our favorite way to truly relax, unplug, and reconnect with the people we love.

I took my first cruise in 2009 on Royal Caribbeans Freedom of the Seas with my wife and three kids. My wife cruised frequently prior to introducing me to this new experience. It was originally a hard sell, although after the first, I could not wait to get the next one booked. I was actually able to disconnect from work and enjoy time with my family. Once onboard, I would turn off my phone and lock it in the safe. Since then, I have been on 26 cruises with 5 different brands!

After being laid off from my corporate career, our cruising days came to a sudden pause. As someone who is visually impaired, reentering corporate America has presented real challenges—but it also pushed me to turn what I love most into something meaningful: helping others plan unforgettable trips.
